AMAM moves from DevilFest to Megalithic Fest in the menhir

Last April, Associació de Música i Art de Mollet AMAM celebrated the tenth and final edition of DevilFest, a metal music festival that has become a reference in the region. However, the organization deemed it necessary to open the door to other styles of music and that is why they will be presenting the Megalític Fest for the first time in April this year.

They have now announced the festival by inviting bands to register –Through this form-. You can register until January 26 to participate in this festival, which will be held on April 20 from 5 pm to 10 pm.

The organization will select five bands who must present a repertoire composed exclusively of original compositions. They are not looking for a one-genre festival, but the focus is particularly on those bands from Mullet and the area that are emerging and looking for exposure.

Greetings to the menhir

Aside from the music, AMAM benefits from the event “To promote our menhir, which is symbolic and unique.”According to Luis Vaquero, President of AMAM. That's why the festival will take place in the Jardí de la Biblioteca Can Mulà – Jordi Solè Tura, around the menhir that inspires the festival's name. It is also an opportunity to bring culture into a space where few activities are scheduled. Regarding the new festival location, Ismail Avila, coordinator of the Megalit Festival, points out: “It is a space that is in line with the festival’s title. It is a new festival and we are betting on a new space. It is very welcoming and in this first edition we are betting on complementing it with family activities.”.
