Fermo – 196 different activities are planned aimed at schools in the morning and for all the public who want to participate in the afternoon: this is the festival definitely, now in its seventh edition, which launches today, Thursday, October 19, at 6 pm in Fermo. Intended for all ages, including teachers, schools and associations, this event aims to popularize science among enthusiasts and among those who would never consider taking an interest in scientific disciplines.
Science is at hand, or rather within reach of the historic center of Fermo, with initiatives that will take place in the city’s historic places.
The inaugural conference is scheduled to be held at six o’clock this evening, in the Portrait Hall of the Palazzo dei Priori, where Professor Mary Orr from the University of St Andrews in the United Kingdom will speak about the story of Sarah Bowditch Lee, and it will also be an occasion to talk about the role of women in… the sciences. The workshop for families, organized by the Fermo Children’s Library, will be held tomorrow, Friday, from 4 pm to 6:30 pm to talk about colors and drawing. This year there will also be many collaborations: the City of Science will arrive in Naples, Prisma and Focus will return, and that of the Josway blog will be in Fermo, through which content will be produced that will then be transmitted on the web. Among the events scheduled for Saturday 21 October, visitors and the public will be able to take part in various workshops, including “Seven Problems for Seven Cities” at Dondero Station (from 3pm to 7.30pm, also repeated on Sunday from 10pm morning to 12 noon). 30 and from 3 to 7 p.m.) Escape Room (starts at 3.30 p.m., 4.30 p.m., 5.30 p.m., 6.30 p.m.) in collaboration with the Scientific High School which will also sponsor the Escape Room in Piazza del Popolo, from 3 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. (here On Saturdays and Sundays), “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Al-Khwarizmi.”
Many things are also scheduled for Sunday 22 October, such as the Bali Museum’s ‘Journey from Science to Science Fiction There and Back’, or TEDx Ideas from 3pm to 7.30pm. Closing conferences are also on Sunday, including the final conference, at 6 p.m., entitled “Travelling Through Numbers, Letters and Cards.”
