At 23-47, the Jazz own one of the league’s worst records. While there hasn’t been much to cheer about in Utah recently, the team received one of their few bright spots on Saturday night.
With 12.1 seconds remaining in regulation and the Jazz down two points, Magic guard Arron Afflalo missed the second of his two free throws which allowed the Jazz to rebound the ball and begin to quickly push it down the floor. Gordon Hayward drove toward the basket before dishing it off to Trey Burke, who was making his way down the three-point line. The rookie drained the tough shot, giving the Jazz a 89-88 lead with 1.7 seconds left to play.
Burke finished with 17 points on 5-of-15 shooting, adding four assists.
