Xbox Game Pass Ultimate: Converting from Live Gold is now even less convenient

Apparently, in addition to increasing subscription prices, Microsoft has also changed its conversion rate to Xbox Live Gold to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for a new subscription. Now actually not more than 1: 1 but rather than 3:2.

For starters, it is possible to convert Xbox Live Gold to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate that has not yet been activated. In the past, this allowed you to have an equal number of Ultimate subscription days equal to the remaining days of Live Gold at no additional cost. This change was reported by several users on Reddit, and also confirmed by the official Xbox Game Pass Ultimate FAQ on Microsoft’s website:

• Conversion percentage Xbox Live Gold and PC Game Pass: The remaining time will be converted to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate at a ratio of 3:2 and rounded up to the next full day. For example, any remaining 90 days of Xbox Live Gold or PC Game Pass will convert to 60 days of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
• Xbox Game Pass for console conversion ratio: Remaining time will be converted to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Time at a 4:3 ratio and rounded up to the next full day. For example, any remaining 90 days of Xbox Game Pass for Console will convert to 68 days of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
• EA Play conversion report: Remaining time will be converted to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Time at a 3:1 ratio and rounded up to the next full day. For example, your remaining 90 days of EA Play will convert to 30 days of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
