Tierney, the lights are on for Christmas.  Parties, toys and science

TERNI CHRISTMAS LIGHTS IN Clt. From November 26 to January 6, thanks to the support of Arvedi Ast, the appointment with Natale Clt in the Temple via Muratori will be renewed. To welcome the installation of new lights at the Botanical Garden, Christmas is located at the base of the monumental Magnolia Tree. This year too, Santa’s mailbox is a must where you can leave letters and hellos.

The first date on the calendar is Thursday 7 December at 9pm, when “The Travels of Mr. Sax” will be held in collaboration with the Conservatory of Berccialdi in Terni. Four young saxophonists will propose a musical path through different styles: from the classical repertoire of Alexander Glazunov to George Gershwin, from jazz to Morricone.

The second date will take place on Friday 8 December at 5.30pm and will feature the Arvedi Ast Ensemble, an unprecedented musical formation made up of company employees and music lovers, directed by Alessio Micheli.

The company’s band will challenge the Low Budget Orchestra to The Sound of Music, conducted by maestro Vincenzo Rito Lebusi and composed of former students of the Terni High School of Music. An already appreciated training on the occasion of UJ4 Kids which was held in September also at Clt.

Both concerts will be held at the Clt. Library.

Entrance is free, upon reservation, while places last.

For the little ones, live puppet shows, Christmas-themed readings and creative workshops, such as those proposed by Massimo Misseroli, one of the most famous Italian PopUp designers, which will tell the story and technology of 3D books before showing some examples from his precious collection, from 1830 to the present. .

Also confirmed this year is the event dedicated to scientific publishing by the Pleiadi Education Science Curiosity group, which will liven up the days of 15 and 16 December. The team of young scientists from the Pleiadi group will engage the audience in new STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) activities, explaining science in a fun way. Activities will range from robotics, to exploring the human body, from space, to creating a fictional story based around reproducing part of a real sailing ship, which will be set up in the library.

Last but not least, the traditional Tombola Clt ceremony, reserved for members and organized by the Nel Grimorio Association, is scheduled to take place on January 6 at 5.30pm in the library.
