Five girls and two boys have the same number of superpowers. Previewed at Lucca Comics & Games, the TV series “We are legend” arrives in prime time on Rai 2 and RaiPlay starting Wednesday 22nd November. The new fantasy-tinged teen drama – directed by Carmine Elia (“Mare Fuori”, “Survivors”), from the idea of Valerio D’Annunzio and Michelangelo La Neve – is a co-production of Rai Fiction and Fabula Pictures, produced by Nicola. and Marco De Angelis, in collaboration with Prime Video, which tells the stories of a group of teenagers who suddenly discover that they are gifted with superpowers. The cast includes Emanuele Di Stefano, Nicolas Mopas, Giacomo Giorgio, Beatrice Vendramin, Giulio Prano, Valentina Romani, Milo Rosell, Sofia Gercevic, Margherita Aristi, Julia Lin, Claudia Pandolfi, Antonia Leskova, and Lino Guanciali.
Five boys, whose world and extraordinary powers, rooted in the deepest fears and desires, are capable of turning their lives upside down. Coming of Age combines drama, action and satire in an original story, capable of revamping and rewriting the canons of young adult superhero stories. There are no extra missions, no universes to save or supervillains to fight. A coming-of-age story in which superpowers become a metaphor for the difficulties teens are asked to face. A poignant, powerful, funny and disturbing mural of a society – our society – and the bracketing of life – adolescence – where everyone, at least once, dreamed of having superpowers.
The fanbook published by Rai Libri, released on December 12, is dedicated to the series: a series of theatrical images and stolen behind-the-scenes footage as well as a selection of quizzes and puzzle games inspired by We Are Legend.
