Students talk about science in art, all over Italy – scholarships for 24 students taken –

Second, third and fourth year students of secondary schools are invited to register for the 2022-2024 edition of the Trans-Italy Art and Science Project, which since the first edition of 2016 brings scientific research to schools and has so far involved more than 10,000 young people from all over Italy.

The Art & Science Across Italy project, organized by the National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN) in collaboration with CERN, aims to engage girls and boys in the world of scientific research, bringing together the languages ​​of science and the languages ​​of art and meeting different individual attitudes and interests.

The project is implemented over two academic years and includes three phases: The first phase is a training phase in which seminars, workshops and visits to museums and laboratories are organized. The second stage involves students making artworks inspired by the scientific themes covered in the lessons; Finally, created and awarded works are displayed in regional exhibitions and the most important ones are collected in the National Gallery, the final event for each edition.

At the National Gallery, a jury of experts sets a ranking and the eight winning groups (24 students) receive a grant, created thanks to the contribution of Radio Kiss Kiss, who is also a media partner of the project, to participate in the Masters. On the relationship between art and science at CERN in Geneva and/or INFN laboratories in Italy. Training phase meetings and exhibitions are organized locally at the regional level by INFN departments and reference universities. In particular, subsidiaries of Bari, Biella, Bologna, Cagliari, Ferrara, Florence, Frascati, Genoa, L’Aquila, Lecce, Matera, Milan, Naples, Padua, Perugia, Pisa, Potenza and Rome are committed to the 2022-2024 edition. , Turin, Trieste, and Venice.
