Germany: “Ready to act if necessary”

Germany is closely following the tensions between Serbia and Kosovo, and is ready to act “if necessary.” This was stated by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius. Pistorius said: “We are monitoring the situation,” expressing his hope that the escalation will stop and not ruling out an increase in the contribution of German soldiers to the NATO peacekeeping mission. Serbian Defense Minister: “We are ready for the invasion”

Defense Minister Miloš Vucevic stated at a press conference that if the Serbian Armed Forces receive the order from the President of Serbia, in his capacity as Commander-in-Chief, to enter the territory of the Republic of Kosovo, as part of the Republic of Serbia, “the Serbian Army and the Armed Forces will carry out this mission efficiently, professionally and successfully.”

United States: “Serbia must withdraw its forces from the border”

“The withdrawal of Serb forces from the border with Kosovo would be a welcome step” by the US government. This was stated by State Department spokesman Matthew Miller at a press conference, recalling the conversation that took place on Friday between US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic.
