Festa Major de Sant Pere 2024 will feature t-shirts, fans, bracelets and tattoos

The Municipal Institute of Culture of Reus Festa Major de Sant Pere 2024 resumes the promotion of the festival. This was done through the festival’s participating entities in order to promote more active participation of different groups in the dissemination of the main festival.

The three collaborating entities are the Ball de Diables de Reus, the Coordinator of Traditional Dances, and the Stol del Basilisc. The promotional products that will be offered for sale are:

  • Rios Devils Ball T-Shirt
  • Fans & Posters (Traditional Dance DJ)
  • And finally the bracelets (Stol del Basilisk)

“The proposal comes from an idea from the participatory table of the Festa Major, where the promotion of the festival was discussed, and from preparing the proposal with the IMRC team, who contacted the authorities to find out who wants to participate,” explained Daniel Recasens, advisor for culture and language policy at the Reus City Council. “Among all the entities (about 25), these three expressed their desire to be able to participate and chose the products they wanted to manufacture, the quantities, etc..,” Recassens went on to say.

Product design has to do with the label. Laia Solanellas, poster artist for Sant Pere 2024, collaborated in applying the label to the different products and it was a decision made jointly by all parties involved. The Ministry of Culture and Language Policy wants to restore the commercialization of the festival year after year, so that entities can have another source of funding for their activities.

Selling goods
Commercial products are sold jointly between the entities and IMRC. The entities will sell the products in their buildings and in the stalls that they will set up on the days of the festival, and for its part, IMRC will sell them at the usual points of sale, which are Casa Roll and the Salvador Villaseca Museum.
