Conference Series: “Archaeology and Science Tells”

The CRT Archaeological Group proposes a series of conferences organized in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Civic Museums of Vicenza.

The featured venue will be the Natural Archaeological Museum which will host meetings, on a monthly basis, every Sunday at 5pm. With the general title “Archaeology and Science Tells”, heterogeneous topics will be addressed and discussed by some of the most distinguished scholars in the archaeological field. a report.

  • On Sunday, October 29, Christian Greco, Director of the Egyptian Museum in Turin, will open a series of conference meetings entitled Discovery of Tutankhamun Which will be held exceptionally in the Basilica of Palladiana at six in the evening.
  • Sunday 26 November: Annalisa Pedrotti, Associate Professor at the University of Trento: Otzi the Snowman. An exceptional example of the rapid development of scientific methods in archaeology. Natural Archaeological Museum, Monastery Hall, 5.00pm.

  • Sunday 21 April Marisa Rigoni, former director of the Supervisory Authority for the Archaeological Heritage of Veneto: Roman camp at Scio Santurso. Data mining and open problems. Natural Archaeological Museum, Monastery Hall, 5.00pm.
  • Sunday 26 May: Andrea Russo, Marshall Carabinieri TPC: Protecting archaeological heritage. Natural Archaeological Museum, Monastery Hall, 5.00pm.
