Clusone, with ClouZone music meets science

One of the most eagerly awaited dates in the cultural calendar is about to begin in Clusone. ClouZone Festival 2023 – Music and Science Combined, its third edition, is dedicated to the relationship between music, cognition and science. Conceptualization and artistic direction conceived by Roberto Maietta, opera artist with international experience and president of Nuovi Contexti Sonori, an association for social promotion, recently born in the Clusone region with the aim of promoting musical culture and presenting young artists and musicians to the public, having completed their training thanks to music workshops and master classes.

The ClouZone program, which combines musical events, conferences, performances and performances, begins with the concert “AffettuosaMente – Music between passion and reason”, on Sunday 2 July at 20.45 in the Church of Santi Defendiente e Rocco (admission free). The protagonist is the emerging band of the Tempore Belli Guitar Trio. The group led by Francesco Molmente, a musician already known to the audience of cloisonnes, takes you on a journey into the music of the eighteenth century, between the theory of influences and rationalism, to discover the century of enlightenment with original and unpublished arrangements dedicated to classical guitar.

The festival connects with “Music and the Brain – The Therapeutic Effects of Music.” Dr. Antonio Montenaro, historic Italian neurosurgeon, already author of several national musical scientific publications, will, for the first time in Clusone, accompany Camilla Finardi, on mandolin and plucked. In an open dialogue between music and science, the two heroes of the evening will explore the best machine ever created: our brain, to make us discover why music can help us live better. The meeting is scheduled for Sunday 23 July, at 5:30 pm in the Sala Legrenzi (admission is free).

With “Synapsy – Music and Performance,” the part of the summer season concludes, on Friday, July 28, at 9 p.m. in Santana Square. Opera, classical and electronic music connect the lives of seemingly distant characters to make them discover closer and more connected. Young singers and artists of international origin will perform on the scene, who have joined the Synapsy-Call tender for opera singers, to give life to a unique and innovative show.

The preparation of the event in the Closone area will be directed by Roberto Maieta and Anita Fromento, pianist and teacher, and pianist and vocal coach Alessandro Trebecchi and musical director of the Teatro Grande in Brescia will be seen as guests at the workshops. . Entrance fee, tickets can be booked at the Clusone Tourist Office.

The season concludes in the fall with “The Heart: Instructions for Use,” a musical comedy by Enrico Durante, on Saturday, November 18, at 9 p.m. in the Monsignor Tomasini Theater Auditorium in the Clusone Chapel. Three characters looking for the perfect love ending to an endless story, that makes you think about feelings and their consequences thanks to an exceptional soundtrack, ranging from Mozart’s operas to musicals. The show was designed and produced in collaboration with Cluster-APS. Entrance fee, tickets can be booked at the Clusone Tourist Office.
