Pass of the Night: Stephen Curry to David Lee (Video)

When looking at the schedule, the San Antonio Spurs-Golden State Warriors match-up looked like one of the more promising ones. But then yesterday, we got the news that Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker would all be out for the Spurs. Knowing that, it seemed like things were set up nicely for an easy Warriors win. Maybe this game wouldn’t be so great after all.

But the Spurs and Warriors put on a fantastic show, with Spurs, surprisingly, pulling out a 104-102 win thanks to a late tip in by Tiago Splitter. It was Splitter’s only basket (1-7 shooting), but it was the one that counted the most.

Leading the way for the Warriors, in defeat, was Steph Curry, who put in yet another magnificent performance. On the back of six three-pointers, Curry scored 30 points and handed out 15 assists.

He had more than a few nice passes, but his feed to David Lee in the first quarter stood out among the rest.

Coming down the court after receiving the outlet pass, Curry showed off his wide array of dribbling skills, putting all sorts of moves on the Spurs’ Danny Green.

Green did a pretty fair job, but eventually Curry got past him into the paint. Forcing the defense to step up, Curry spotted the now open man, David Lee. With a nifty little bounce pass, Curry got Lee an easy jam.
