there Toyota Unveiled Sienta, a new model for Japan. It’s compact, square-shaped with rounded corners, and designed for families looking for an inexpensive way to get around town. Do you think you’ve seen him before? Or is your brain playing tricks peculiar to you by suggesting an analogy with another car, of another brand, so popular in Italy? Yes, we’ve also thought of the Fiat Panda (and 90% or more of our readers, too, we interviewed at Our Instagram page). However, the Japanese differ in the use of different solutions, such as sliding rear doors, and a greater length, which in fact makes it a real pickup truck. In the motherland, the Sienta will debut in September, when it will be marketed with prices starting at the equivalent of €14,278.
Seven seats, many practical solutions. Now in its third generation, Sienta has developed the stylistic features of the two previous series, taking on the basic concepts of compactness and interior spaciousness. The minivan is based on the manufacturer’s GA-B platform and can accommodate up to seven people with a length of 4.3 meters. In fact, two additional seats are integrated into the trunk of the car that can be folded away when not in use. In addition, inside the passenger compartment there are many clever solutions for storing small items of common use, from bottle holders built into the doors to small pockets for smartphones sewn into the backrests of the front seats, which also integrate USB sockets to recharge various passenger devices. On request, various accessories are available to customize the exterior and interior, from the fenders with the colorful Sienta logo to the wooden floor covering of the luggage compartment.
Hybrid 28.8 km / l. In the hood of the new Cinta there is a full hybrid (with Toyota Classic Series parallel running) consisting of 1.5 dynamic forces paired with an 80-horsepower electric unit, which promises an average consumption of 28.8 km / l in the Wltc cycle. There will also be an E-Four version with all-wheel drive with electric rear-wheel drive available to customers, but a non-hybrid version of the 1.5 with Shift-Cvt direct transmission that House describes as a sporty 10-speed sequential transmission is also available (in practice, the electronics simulate a gear shift). Among the characteristics that Toyota highlighted during the introduction of the new minivan was its agility: the minimum turning radius is actually only five metres.
