End of this week Science City celebrates “Mole day“, an unofficial holiday in which chemists participate, especially in the United States of America. The party begins at 6:02 on 10/23, which is the time and date that mentions the number Avogadro That is, the number of molecules in a mole, which is one of the seven basic units of the International System of Units.
On Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 October, “chemists” of all ages will be able to watch amazing chemical reactions being carried out or colorful explosions taking place between test tubes, beakers, reagents and cylinders.
In the’Interactive lab Young visitors will be taken to a fascinating chemistry laboratory to discover how secondary colors are obtained from primary colours.
In the Visible Atoms Laboratory You will be able to venture out to discover what atoms are and how they can be combined to obtain some molecules that are essential for us and our lives.
Finally the wonderful Science presentation The audience will be involved in the production of the famous Prussian blue and hydrogen, discover how colorful fireworks are made and much more.
In short, a journey through the history of chemistry to uncover its importance and discover what lies behind the oldest and most fascinating reactions.
