Stock Markets Today, November 2.  Markets are betting on the end of Fed increases and a halt in Italian manufacturing

Europe lively mid session after float, Milan +1.8%

Momentum picked up in European stock markets at mid-session, with the European Central Bank confirming its forecasts and, as yesterday, the Fed keeping interest rates unchanged at 5.25%. Thus the FTSE MIB in Milan is moving close to its intraday highs with an increase of 1.8%. All major continental stock markets showed progress: Paris advanced by 1.95%, Madrid by 1.77%, and Frankfurt by 1.58%, as did Amsterdam (+1.69%) and London (+1.3%). Among the stocks in Piazza Affari, the rise of Tenaris does not stop after the publication of the quarterly report, which stands out on the main list with an increase of 8.3%. The former also advanced (+5.4%), following the good performance of technology stocks at the European level (the sector’s Stoxx 600 sub-index was the best with +3.78%). Purchases also rewarded Interpump (+4.45%), Moncler (+3.85%), and Diasorin (+3.77%). Ferrari performed well +3% after beating expectations and increase guidance. The banking sector is weak: at the bottom of the FTSE mib Unicredit (-0.9%), banco Bpm (-0.4%) and Bper (-0.25%).
Outside the main list, Lottomatica continues its march (+4.3%) after announcing the agreement to purchase the betting company sks365.
