This excessive consumption is often due to the permissions granted when downloading and installing the same apps on the device.

How do smartphone batteries work?

The batteries in smartphones are lithium-ion batteries that ensure superior performance, faster charging times and more compact dimensions compared to previous generation batteries. There are two types of lithium batteries available on the market. On the one hand, there are lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries, which were designed at the beginning of the 20th century and came on the market starting in the 1990s. On the other hand, we have lithium polymer (Li-po) batteries, which are newer and lighter than the first ones.

The two lithium battery variants also differ in their structure and structure. Lithium-ion batteries can be made into long metal buttons or cylinders, with the metal salts immersed in a liquid solvent that acts as the electrolyte. On the other hand, in lithium polymer batteries, the liquid solvent is replaced with a solid polymer compound, making the batteries more flexible and adaptable to a variety of situations.
