Nord Stream: A large cloud of methane over Norway and Sweden – Europe

After the gas leak from Nord Stream 1 and 2, the level of methane in Sweden and Norway reached record levels, according to Swedish and Norwegian media, which speak of a “big cloud”. 96% of the gas in Nord Stream 1 and 2 was methane. According to the calculations by Stephen Matthew Platt, a climate scientist at the Norwegian Nilu Air Research Institute, this is about 40,000 tons of methane emitted from suspected sabotage: “Emissions correspond to twice the annual methane emissions of industry. Oil and gas in Norway, they are record levels, never before It has a counterpart in Norway and Sweden.

Russia has “material” referring to the West’s involvement in the sabotage of Nord Stream pipelines. This was stated by the head of the Moscow Foreign Intelligence Service, citing TASS.
“We already have some material that indicates the western path in the organization and execution of the terrorist attack” on the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 pipelines, said SVR head Sergei Naryshkin. “In my opinion, the West is doing everything to hide the real perpetrators and organizers of this terrorist attack.”
