“Back to the Future of Science”, next March 21-26, at the César Balbo Institute of Higher Education, a five-day journey through time between major scientific discoveries, from physics to chemistry to biology and from Galileo to the Higgs boson.

From Archimedes to Galileo, mechanics and hydrostatics will have no other secrets. Visiting workstations and experimental laboratories one by one, visitors will be challenged, among other things, to separate the two hemispheres of Magdeburg, discovering their most compelling history, while today, thanks to the works of Newton and Young, they will no longer have secrets. On the other hand, Volta, Oersted, Faraday and Tesla will accompany users to the magical world of electromagnetism, between induced currents and electromagnetic waves that transmit information from a distance. Once playing with Rutherford’s experiment in the 20th century, which provided the first planetary model of the atom, visitors will discover the secrets of radioactivity, then cut through the 21st century and find the Higgs boson.

Finally, stop at Mendeleev (inventing the periodic table) and the structure of the cell, and then plunge into the mystery of DNA, right up to modern biotechnology.

A science escape room will be created for the occasion. Visitors will be guided by the science high school students themselves, accompanied by their teachers. These are the times: from 8 to 13 and from 14:30 to 17 (closed on Sundays). The exhibition and experiences will be accessible to all citizens, from elementary to middle school. Reservations required: [email protected].
