Microsoft reveals possible release year in documents sent to UK antitrust agency – Multiplayer.it

Documents sent by Microsoft To the British antitrust proves it is full of interesting information, some of which is not only related to the dispute with Sony PlayStation over Game Pass and Call of Duty and the acquisition of Activision Blizzard. In particular, in an excerpt we learn that, according to the Redmond giant, the launch of GTA6 can be set to 2024.

“The highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 is expected to be released in 2024,” Microsoft says in papers sent to the CMA.

The Rockstar title was mentioned in the document to prove that there are many multi-platform titles with heavy shooter mechanics on the market, and according to Microsoft, GTA and Red Dead Redemption 2 also fall into this category. This is all to explain to CMA officials that even without Call of Duty, PlayStation consoles wouldn’t remain cut off from the shooter market, as Sony would like to point out.

The document passage has been submitted to CMA where Microsoft talks about the possible release year for GTA 6

However, Microsoft seems to be just a prediction, so nothing official is firm. Having said that, we like to believe that the Redmond giant is able to provide more accurate and concrete estimates of GTA 6 than many of the sources of questionable reliability that are so popular on the net.

In any case, we are waiting for communications from Rockstar Games, which in the meantime have ensured that the massive leak of information a few months ago did not slow down work on GTA 6.
