The Kyiv Ministry of Agriculture, citing local media, announced that the collapse of the Kakhovka Dam caused about 4 billion euros in damage to Ukraine’s water filtration system and irrigation canals. The ministry noted that unless the water supply is restored, agriculture will be impossible in southern Ukraine “in the near future,” explaining that the Kakhovka reservoir was the source of 94% of the irrigation systems in the Kherson region, 74% of those in the Zaporizhzhia region and 30 % of the population of the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Kuleba is an alliance with the West in the defense industry

According to Kuleba, the Ministry of Strategic Industries and the Ukrainian state defense conglomerate UkrOboronProm will be part of “a serious international event that will give impetus to the creation of a defense industry alliance.” The minister said the defense industry alliance would have two primary goals: to ensure a continuous and reliable supply of Western equipment to Kiev and to facilitate the smooth integration of Ukraine’s military-industrial complex into the broader Western defense industry.
