Google One, what is the 200GB plan? How to activate it in a simple way

As the Gemini 1.0 Ultra AI model expands to the public, Google has revised its Google One subscription service plans to introduce a new “AI Premium” plan. Currently only available in the US, where it has replaced the “200GB” plan on the home page of the Google One website.

Google One It is a subscription service from Google that allows you to expand your Google Account storage space to back up photos, videos, documents and other files, or even to the accounts of other members of your family by subscribing to a plan that includes sharing benefits with a maximum of 5 people.

Subscribing to a Google One plan is essential when you need more than 15GB of storage space available in your Google account, since this is the basic amount included for free, as well as access to a series of other benefits. At the time of writing, there are three paid Google One subscription plans available in Italy, in addition to the free 15GB basic plan. However, in the US, a new plan was recently introduced that gives access to advanced AI-based tools for Gemini. Let's find out the differences between the different plans, how much they cost and how to activate them.

Google One, plans available

Google One's basic paid plan is called “BasicIt includes 100GB of storage, access to personalized support from experts, and the ability to share features with up to 5 other people. The plan also includes access to editing features restricted in the Google Photos app, including Magic Eraser, HDR, Styles, Portrait Blur, Portrait Lighting, and Burst Color. It also includes Google VPN, which can protect web browsing on the user's Android/iOS device by enabling the use of Mountain View's protected global servers. Furthermore, for several months the plan included a “Dark Web Report” service that monitors the possibility of personal information in the “hidden” part of the Internet, the part where hackers typically share information they steal online.

The second Google One plan available is called “standardIt includes everything the “basic” plan offers, but with double the storage space, 200 GB instead of 100 GB. The third Google One plan available is called “belovedIt includes everything the Basic plan offers but with 2TB of space and access to the premium features of the Google Workspace suite. Among these last features, we highlight the support for call recording and noise cancellation function for clearer calls, as well as the possibility of sending your Meet video call to YouTube and creating multiple booking pages in the calendar for different types of appointments.

How much do Google One 100/200GB and 2TB plans cost in Italy?

Plan coststandard' is €2.99 per month, now in promotion at a reduced price of €0.75 per month for the first three months. 'belovedIt costs €9.99 per month, and is now on promotion at a discounted price of €2.49 per month for the first three months. Alternatively, it is possible to subscribe to an annual subscription plan: €19.99 per year for the Basic Subscription, €29.99 per year for the Standard Subscription and €99.99 per year for the Premium Subscription. The new “AI Premium” plan with access to Gemini Advanced is available in the USA

In the USA, Google One also offers the new plan.Outstanding artificial intelligence'. Note that the 200GB “Standard” plan is missing on the homepage of the English-localized Google One website to make room for the new “AI Premium” plan. However, the Standard plan should still be available for subscription via the Google One app. However, in Italy, since the “AI Premium” plan is not yet available, the 200GB “Standard” plan is still clearly visible on the home page of the Google One website.
