A spokesperson for Deep Silver contacted directly by GamesRadar+ on the matter, said Dead Island 2 is in “active development,” after some new details about the game surfaced in the past few hours by a leaker. Although the publisher hasn’t confirmed the information in question, it nonetheless maintains that Dead Island 2 is still alive and well, continuing its development trajectory, even if there are no set timelines for its release or new presentation.
However, it looks like a trailer for the game could arrive “fairly soon,” again according to what was reported by Deep Silver, so we stay tuned for more information. One game has passed Very complex genesis: Started in 2014 at Techland, authors of the first Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide, and later moved to Yager. The latter team closed in 2015 and moved the business to Sumo Digital and then from there to Dambusters in 2019, thus bringing together four development teams in just over 5 years.
The last time we saw the entire game was until Gamescom 2014 with a long gameplay video for the game in question.
