The 2022 edition of the festival – promoted again this year by the Municipality of Trieste, University of Trieste, Italy Post, sponsored by Goodnet Territori in Rete and realized with the active cooperation of all Trieste entities Città della Conoscenza – will be titled “The Frontiers of Science. Innovation and Research: Ethical Frontiers and New Frontiers”.
“Since its first edition, Trieste Next has chosen to address key issues of scientific and cultural debate, from food to water, from energy to the relationship between humans and technology to the topic of sustainability,” explain the promoters. “The eleventh edition will be a moment to set the scientific agenda for the next few years, to propose far-reaching reflections on the new frontiers of research and innovation, as well as on – but not only – the ethical frontiers that guide debate in the scientific community. Three days of talks, conferences, seminars and workshops are scheduled at Trieste Next, with over a hundred events on the bill and 300 speakers. From September 23 to 25, the scientific experiments and laboratories will also return in Piazza Unita d’Italia, sponsored by the Trieste Città della Conoscenza Foundations, which – after the great success of previous editions – will dedicate the morning of Friday 23 September to primary and secondary schools in the region.
