A hundred young men attacked the facilities and climbed into the police car.
The celebration of Spain’s victory over France in the European Championship on Tuesday evening by a hundred young people caused several riots in the center of Castelldefels. According to police sources, after the end of the match, which could be followed live on a giant screen in the Plaza de l’Eglisecia, the young people crashed into several vehicles and establishments. As can be seen in the videos uploaded to the networks, they also stopped traffic on Carrer Ramón Llull by setting up a barrier of containers, forcing drivers to line up with fans on top of their cars or by climbing into the Mossos’ car.
The Catalan police dispersed the gathering at around 1 a.m. without making any arrests or causing any serious damage to urban furniture.
