Grifols return to yearly lows in a new Gotham City report

Grifols' stock market punishment seems to have no limits. Shares of Catalan companies fell by more than 16%. After a negative day on Tuesday, the title yesterday reached yearly lows with its price falling to around €6,362, at the level of 2012, accumulating losses since the beginning of the year of more than 50%, following the declines it suffered in January and last week. Its capital is about $2,800 million, compared to about $8,000 million that it traded last December, and its average value in 2023 is about $6,500 million. In the end, the company left another 11.27%, amounting to 6,898 euros.

Bearish bottom

One reason for the current decline is a new report from Gotham City, the bearish fund that plunged the company into crisis in January by questioning a report on the weight of its debt, among other accounting questions. On this occasion, in his analysis, he accuses the company of lending money to an entity owned by Scranton, a society in which the company's major shareholders, the Grifwohl family, receive less interest.
