A thousand-year-long space. From the Dome of Science, or the Chianti Observatory, to the Millennium Culture Dome of the disappearing city of Symphony, the so-called Valdelsa Cathedral. Environmental art, science and augmented reality unite the villages and hills between San Donato in Poggio and Simifunte. The project, sponsored by the meeting of two young art historians, Giada Rodani from Sandona and the Dutchman Jade Fleetstra, proposes monumental installations in some of the most prestigious places in Chianti. This is the second chapter of the cultural project called “Art in Landscape”, promoted by the municipality of Barberino Taffarnell, which travels along a path in time and space, moving from one hill to another in the area of ​​Florence to achieve harmony. An area full of vineyards and olive groves where it stands out. Valdelsa Cathedral.

The installation “Waterbones”, composed of more than 3,000 steel modules, is a new site-specific contemporary artwork designed by Loris Cheney installed on the roof of the multifunctional Chianti Observatory (open to the public until November 30) and presenting an unprecedented relationship between science and art. In the church of San Michele Arcangelo in Symphonte, the exhibition “Semifonte, Imprints of Water” was opened, organized by the “Amici dell’Opc” association, in collaboration with Pro Loco Barberino, the archaeological group “Achu”, “Le Masse” and “Particle” with sponsorship. region and the contribution of the University of Florence. The initiative, until November 30, rediscovers and gives new life to a project created nearly thirty years ago by the artist Evelyn La Sud and the architect Raimondo Gramini.

The Symphony Dome then hosts two crystal and iron installations and drawings by the artist Evelyn La Sud. The Symphony project called “Impronte d’acqua” has been enriched and presents the installation of the baptismal font in augmented reality, developed by Cristiano Cesolari (3D modeling designer).
