Let’s talk about the BMW Concept Touring Coupé dusting off the cool “shooting brake” concept that’s now in the hands of rival Mercedes. However, the BMW relaunch is being relaunched with a bit of Made-in-Italy: the passenger compartment is created with carefully crafted leather surfaces by Poltrona Frau, while the luggage is made exclusively to measure in the leather workshop in Chidoni.

But even the Concept Touring Coupé is handcrafted like a suitcase by Schedoni of Modena, while the pedigree and name recall the BMW 328 Touring Coupé that won the Mille Miglia in 1940, even if the shooting brake concept is a nod to BMW 02 Series variants. from the early 1970s, which featured the phrase “Touring” in its name to distinguish it from sedans.

Among the improvements were the flat rear window and the “Sparkling Lario” paint designed specifically for this car, with blue glass flakes integrated, to give a greater impression of depth.

For the rest, the classic six-cylinder engine and gigantic light-alloy wheels, 20 inches on the front axle and 21 inches on the rear, complete the picture of a concept designed to impress. The same applies to the two-tone Poltrona Frau passenger compartment which is split horizontally into two distinct color compartments, with a dark brown shade in the upper part and a light brown saddle in the lower part.
