Paul Pierce, Still The Truth: A Poem

Raptors-Nets, yesterday in Toronto,

All of Canada was ready to go.

D-Will, Pauly, Lowry, and DeRo,

There was no doubt we were getting a show.

The Nets jumped out early, they had a big lead,

But the Raps didn’t falter, the game they wouldn’t cede.

Then the shot clocks went out, of new ones they’re in need,

They used a stopwatch instead; it was strange indeed.

With five minutes, left, Vasquez drilled a three.

Raptors up one, a great finish it would be.

Well great for the Nets, not Toronto you see.

Because Brooklyn knew The Truth, and The Truth sets you free.
