The agency said: “The meeting discussed and took important practical steps to make the use of military deterrence more effective, powerful and offensive.” He added that the measure aims to “address the current situation where the provocations of the United States and South Korea reach a red line.” South Korea and the United States are expected to begin the “Freedom Shield” exercises on Monday, March 13, with a focus on the “changing security environment” due to the escalation of North Korean aggression, according to the two allies. Thus, joint exercises cause North Korea to react, which it views as evidence of its invasion.
