For this very reason, OCU conducted a study to evaluate the best types of tortillas sold in supermarkets in our country. For this reason, a representative of the different series that contain it in their collection has been chosen. Thus, after analysis, the OCU issued its ruling.

OCU is studying what the best supermarket omelet is
OCU selected 14 species of trout for the study. Among them we find chilled and frozen options. To find out what the best omelet is, we took into account taste, quality, price and overall rating.
1. Frozen truita La Cocina de Senén
This is the trout that received the second highest rating from OCU. The rating was 66 points out of 100. This is at a price of 8.95 euros, which is a high price in the organization’s opinion.
In this case, we're talking about an omelet that comes uncooked. In other words, we find frozen dough in the supermarket to prepare at home. It is a base of potatoes, raw eggs and onions that we have to curdle in the pan.
This characteristic of trout is one of the reasons why it ranks second. Which is that for the OCU it is not a success to do it at home. However, he appreciates its good taste and boiled potatoes.

2. Omelet with caramelized onions and free range eggs from Aldi
The best omelet in the supermarket, for OCU, we have at Aldi. As you can read on its packaging, it is made with caramelized onions and eggs. He received 67 points out of a possible 100 points.
In this case, OCU highlighted its excellent value for money. Additionally, he wanted to mention that free-range chicken eggs were used to make the tortillas. In this case we can buy it at a price of 1.99 euros.

Does OCU recommend ready-made potato omelettes?
In the study, OCU also wanted to talk about whether or not it is advisable to consume these trout and whether or not it is worth it. He offers arguments for and against, but the conclusion is clear. That's why he gave his reasons.
In favor of this species of trout, OCU maintains that it gets better every time. Similar to traditional recipes in flavor and texture. Additionally, he points out that buying feta cheese is cheaper than making it at home.
