Mercadona is the Spanish supermarket that tends to bring in the most new products every month. And in May of this year, we were already ready for the return of one of our most popular drinks when the good weather came. Today we can find all kinds of soft drinks, beer, red wine… but there is something missing that is uncommon and attracts young and old alike.
It’s a milky drink that’s perfect for drinking at home or taking to the pool, beach or camping. Customers liked it so much that Mercadona recalled it some time ago, but due to consumers’ insistence, the Valencian chain decided to bring it back after listening to its customers.
This is one of the sales strategies that Mercadona usually follows. Remove a product or change its location on your shelves to see which products sell best and which products consumers like the most. Whether we like their strategy or not, it is clear that it is working in their favor in the end.
Mercadona cinnamon and lemon flavored milk drink
This Mercadona drink is made by the Iparlat company in Renedo de Pelagos (Cantabria) and the Lactiber company in León. It comes in a one-litre plastic container and is a refreshing milk-based drink flavored with vanilla and cinnamon. It’s a refreshing, sweet drink that’s perfect for unwinding in those moments of separation.
In previous years, it was also on sale in small cartons that were sold in packs of six containing 20 cl each, meaning they sold a total of 1.2 litres, but now this format will not return, only 1 litre.
The latter form may not be practical, as children prefer the small cardboard box, but the flavor remains the same.
This drink from Mercadona is usually placed next to a chocolate milkshake and at €1.65, it is more expensive than some similar drinks like chufa, but if you like the taste, it will be perfect to enjoy in the summer.
