MareDireFare 2nd Edition: Ocean Festival – Friulisera

The opening press conference for the second edition of the MareDireFare – Festival degli Oceani will take place on May 27 at 11 am in the Sala Costantinides of the Civic Museum of Sartorio in Trieste (Largo Papa Giovanni XXIII). For two weeks, from May 27 to June 10, the Historic Center of Trieste will host the first stage of a large-scale exhibition dedicated to the Seven Principles of Ocean Literacy, created by 7 professional painters who will display their work in the Antico Caffè San Marco, of MUG, in the Lovat Library, in Ubik Library, in the Quarantotti Gambini Municipal Library, in Emeroteca Tomizza – Attilio Hortis Civic Library and in the House of Music. Alongside the large-scale exhibition, in the same period, the events calendar on the sea, between science, history and culture, for adults, children and families, will revitalize the city center and marine biodiversity of Miramar to celebrate the decade of the oceans, to reflect on their conservation and the future of marine resources.

The festival was born from the idea of ​​the Miramar Marine Reserve Area of ​​the World Wide Fund for Nature and the National Institute of Oceanography and Experimental Geophysics – OGS and is organized as part of the MareDireFare project, funded by the Friuli-Venezia Giulia Autonomous Region.
