– Reducing differences and ensuring equal opportunities: comparing experiences is the subtitle of the webinar “Women and Science”, organized by Fidapa of Ancona Riviera del Conero on Friday 24 February at 18.

February, in particular, February 11 is the day dedicated to the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, a day established by the United Nations in 2015. As often happens, a memory of this kind is created to raise awareness about a particular issue. Indeed, the International Day of Women and Girls in Science is an opportunity to raise awareness and increase public awareness of gender inequalities in the field and women’s and girls’ access to research. In this sense, many events are organized, in Italy as in the rest of the world, for this purpose.

Precisely for this purpose, the Fidapa Department of the Ancona Riviera del Conero has organized a webinar on women and science, inviting two great researchers and devotees of medicine and science to testify of the experience, difficulties, gender differences and goals of a woman devoted to science abroad and in Italy . From Montreal we will have Professor Gabriella Jobe, psychiatrist and neuroscientist, Full Professor at McGill University in Montreal (Canada) and Professor Rossana Berardi (member of FIDABA) Full Professor of Oncology and Director of the Faculty of Specialization in Oncology at the Polytechnic University. Marche, as well as the Women’s Chief of Medical Oncology in Italy.

Other FEDABA members such as Professor Laura Mazzanti formerly full professor at the Polytechnic University of Marches will also make their contribution. In addition to the President of Fidaba Ancona, the President of the Fidaba District Center, Ana Maria Torchetti, will present the compliments. The press conference will be moderated by Luca Valceta.
