Yesterday afternoon, the Urban Guard arrested a 33-year-old man accused of stabbing another 28-year-old man in the chest, during a fight in Carrer Republica del Paraguay. Carrer Talada was arrested after the alleged perpetrator fled the scene. The victim was transported by ambulance to Arnau Hospital in Villanova, and his diagnosis was not serious. The events occurred at approximately 3:30 pm when several people participated in a quarrel that arose for unknown reasons. One of the participants pulled out a razor and stabbed another several times in the chest. Patrols from the Urban Guard – which took charge of the investigation – and Mossos de Escodra arrived at the scene. Witnesses gave the police a description of the perpetrator and indicated the place from which he fled. Shortly after, the Urbana Patrol found the alleged perpetrator, a 33-year-old man, in Carrer Talada and proceeded to arrest him for the stabbing. It is worth noting that three people were injured last weekend when they were attacked with a knife. The most serious assault was the assault on a man on Saturday night in Mariola.
Mossos d’Esquadra is investigating and has not made any relevant arrests. The victim suffered a stab wound in the abdomen, forcing him to undergo urgent surgery. This incident prompted neighborhood residents to demonstrate yesterday to demand more security (more information on page 8). Likewise, the Mossos arrested a man on Sunday accused of attacking another with a broken bottle at a nightclub in Carrer Alcalde Porqueres. The victim suffered injuries to his neck. Finally, the Urbana woman reported that her ex-partner cut off her arm. The events occurred outside this nightclub.
