Jumbo-Visma wins the third stage of Paris-Nice. Yellow wasps fly 32.2 km from the experimental team’s time. A ‘fresh’ test since then, compared to team time trials in the past, and today it took the time on the first rider of the team to the finish line rather than on the fourth. In second place was Ef Education EasyPost, and Jayco AlUla team third at 4″. The UAE team led by Tadej Pogacar finished fifth at 23″ behind Jumbo Visma to rival Jonas Vingegaard. The new leader of the race is Denmark’s Magnus Kurt (Eve) with 1″ over Belgium’s Van Hooydonk (Jumbo) and 3″ over Matthews (Jaico Alola). Vingegaard and Pogacar? Before the fourth stage with an uphill finish (Saint Amand Montrond-La Loge des Gardes of 164.7 km) the Dane is fifth at 3″ while the Slovenian is tenth with 14″ behind. The first is from the Italians Matteo Sobrero, 14 by 18″.
