Catalan startup Roka Furadada has started exporting its sunscreen active ingredient to France, through an agreement with French company SeventyOne Percent to launch a new line of sunscreens.
Founded in 2019 and based in Barcelona, deeptech specializes in researching and developing sun protection solutions to reduce skin cancer.
Roka Furadada has developed an intelligent molecule that activates when it comes into contact with natural light and adapts to environmental conditions to improve protection against UV rays. This technology provides a range of protection of up to eight hours, and even increases throughout this time.
The active also prevents pigmentation and aging caused by UV rays. It is precisely this exclusive technology that has allowed them to sign a collaboration agreement with the French brand SeventyOne Percent, specialized in sun protection for nature lovers and especially dedicated to the most demanding athletes.
Thus, the Catalan company Diptyque supplied the French brand with the ingredients with which it created a new range of sunscreens for the general public, with specific products for children.
