Carbone, debut as predetermined: Inter have big plans, and no one is surprised

The Argentine gem made a great appearance at the first Nerazzurri test before the season, which was held in Lugano

88th minute of Lugano-Inter, Inter’s first pre-tournament test 2022/2023: Simone Inzaghi sends on the pitch Valentine Carbone, a talented striker, born in 2005. 89th minute: The Argentine receives the ball in the three quarters, raises his head and fires a left torpedo from a distance of 30 meters that touches the intersection of the columns. A pre-set business card for the Nerazzurri gem, who wanted to send a signal to the few who still didn’t know his extraordinary qualities. Play that caught Inter fans’ eye, and that immediately sparked important comparisons: one above all, Adriano’s race car in August 2001 against Real Madrid. He certainly wasn’t surprised by Carboni’s talent and character as Inter, who already has big plans ready for him.

Inter know they have a genuine gem on their hands, and they certainly haven’t spotted it these days of training at Appiano Gentile with the first team. He arrived in Milan in the summer of 2020, a year before he was promoted first to under-18s and immediately afterwards to Primavera, where he became one of the Scudetto champions despite playing at a young age. As Inzaghi emphasized, the Nerazzurri Club’s intent is to group it on a permanent basis among the “Great”: an opportunity that Valentine did not miss, so much so that holidays were reduced in order to present himself at his best from day one.

During the season he will alternate between the first team and Primavera, so as not to lose the rhythm and the habit of playing. At the end of July, he will also take part in the Alcudia championship with Argentina, after which he will return to Milan: a non-stop summer, which he can dedicate to a higher level.
