Call for grants Cooperation Department Last July, the deadline for submission was published with 22 projects participating. The budget of the call is 126,703 euros, and ONGD and the city solidarity entities selected by it have presented projects to work on the defense of human rights (DH) and women’s human rights (DHD), education for social transformation (EpTS), humanitarian action, migration and asylum and international cooperation for development. The projects are now entering the evaluation phase to determine the grant awarded to them.
The 22 entities that have been selected for support have submitted proposals that address various Sustainable Development Goals, such as quality education, gender equality, decent work and economic growth, reducing inequality, providing clean water and promoting development. Sanitation. The priority countries in which the participating entities are providing assistance are Haiti, Burkina Faso, Colombia, Morocco, Ecuador, El Salvador, Mozambique, Gambia, Tunisia, Senegal and Algeria (Sahrawi refugee camps). These projects are supported by various local and international organizations, as well as countries committed to promoting human rights, and address fundamental aspects of social progress and the well-being of societies, thus significantly contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. These initiatives represent an important step towards a more equitable and just world, where human rights and women’s human rights are key priorities for sustainable development.
The Lleida City Council encourages international cooperation and EpTS actions by Lleida entities to help promote human rights. The gradual shift from the traditional model to the gender-based approach based on human rights (EGiBDH), in the development cooperation system, has shown benefits in achieving sustainable human development around the world.
