“The Tribe” on Talia Theater

The Thalia Theater premieres “The Tribe,” a play based on the real experiences of a group of women exhausted by their daily lives. The piece, which aims to reflect on individuality to make social relationships worthwhile, will be on the poster from Wednesday until September 8. Actresses and co-directors Laura Bellis, María de la Pera, María Martí, and Arantxa Lecombre play active women in their forties, with one thing in common: they are frustrated with life.
De la Pera explains that her character “suffers from a lot of social pressure and is frustrated because she doesn’t achieve social goals.” Bellis says of his character: “In fact, the human race is not the type to be appreciated very much, and he is a frustrated person in general.” Maria Marti says of the role she plays: “I had a dream of being able to dance or to live from dancing.”
The thread of union that encouraged them to sew their wounds on stage. “Yes, we reveal a little bit about the social problems surrounding women and what is happening to us at the moment,” says Marty. The protagonists bring the play “The Tribe” to life. “The audience will have a good time, and they will laugh a lot. Our language is multidisciplinary and new, but it also makes you think.” A current reflection of women in a work born from an experience told by many people: “Either we take care of ourselves, or we fail.”
