The Espai Familiar de Les Santes 2024 festival ended on Monday as a spectacular final show, in honor of the last day of the Mataró Festival. It did so with a special program, which included a musical and percussion show and a traditional concert by the Les Santes band, which this year transformed the beach into the Nou Parc Central. The concert was organized by the Maresme Music Group and the Hanfris Quartet.

The first big show of the day was “Possê”, presented by Sound de Secà, a musical show that tries to reclaim public space by integrating rhythm, dance, theater and sound. As the company says, the gathering is a cry of hope to be able to reclaim the street for living.

Genius Fran Art Direction of Sound de Secà “Possê means group, it’s a way of inviting a group of people. It’s a show of rhythm, dance, movement… We talk about playing and participating in the street because we think it’s something that has been lost.

This is what the eight participating artists are trying to do live, entrusting their energy to the audience.

The last day of Espai Familiar was completed, as always, with other activities for the little ones, including two storytelling sessions in the Mataró libraries. This Monday it was the turn of La Berta Delpoblet, who told her “Underwater Tales” and “Sunset Tales”. In addition, there were also Pinxo Carbassó game sessions, the Circus of the Senses or a space for drawing and colouring.

As for the band’s concert, this year the Maresme Orchestra celebrates its 40th anniversary. To properly commemorate this event and share it with everyone, the formation led by Pierre Bono invited the Matarone group The Hanfris Quartet to the Nou Parc Central stage.
