The concert – which lasted more than two hours – began with a good dose of Verdi works, such as “La donna è mobile,” or “La mia Letizia infondere.” As soon as he entered, Bocelli received warm applause from the audience, especially from those in the first rows, who rose from their chairs to greet the artist standing. The show was completed with large screens, on which several video clips were projected, the musicians and choir members placed in the background, while Bocelli, or some guests, were in the foreground who accompanied him during the evening.
This is the case of the soprano Cristina Passaroiu, the singer Pia Toscano, the violinist Rossanda Panfili, the artist Giovanni Caccamo or Carlo Bernini, who in the latter case acted as conductor. “Vicino a te”, “O soave fanciulla” or “Brindisi” were played in the first hour of the concert, while the second part was reserved for pieces such as “Mamma”, “En Aranjuez con tu amor” and “Vivo by law”. Or “Canto della Terra”.
All this in front of an extremely loyal audience, which surrendered at Bocelli's feet and applauded loudly after every song played. Different dancers also participated in the show, performing some pieces. The colophon was set by “Con te Partirò”, “Besame Mucho” and “Nessun dorma”, which saw the Italian bid farewell to the first two dates in Barcelona.
