The Falvey Foundation opened in March 2004, and this year celebrates its twentieth anniversary, having organized 120 exhibitions by established and emerging artists. That's why they decided to celebrate the anniversary by representing the organization's Art Fund.

In the group exhibition there will be works by one hundred artists from the regions of Girona. The exhibition is divided between the ground floor of the House of Culture and a second room in one of the old library spaces.

The organization was born under the name Study of Sport, Environment and Culture. It is a private institution that wants to be a reference for culture in the city. The current headquarters is located in Avinguda de Jaume I where there are three connected buildings: an art space, an exhibition hall and an auditorium with a capacity of one hundred people.

Over the 20 years of the foundation, up to 120 exhibitions have been organized in various artistic disciplines. Painting, sculpture, drawing, prints and photography are on display, as well as new forms such as video or performance art. In addition, emerging and other more established artists were also given a voice. Now, to celebrate its 20th anniversary, the organization has decided to display 130 artworks by 122 artists who are part of the Fundació Valvi.

The exhibition will be open to the public at the Cultural House from Tuesday, January 23, until March 2. The opening witnessed a visual and musical intervention by artist Xavi Yusas and the presence of some artists who displayed their works at the institution. The group exhibition will be in the exhibition halls on the ground floor of the House of Culture and also in one of the rooms of the old library in the same building. In the exhibition halls, the public will be able to view a group of painting and sculpture works. On the other hand, photographs, drawings and engravings will be displayed in the old library.
