(Beijing) Three Chinese astronauts completed a three-month space mission on Thursday at the construction site of the Chinese space station, the New China Agency said.
The three men aboard the Shenzhou-12 spacecraft left Earth in June. Their 90-day mission was the longest carried out in space by Chinese astronauts, the official news agency said, noting when they would return to Earth.
According to New China, the ship was separated from Tiankang station for three months and stopped at 8:56 pm ET (8:56 pm ET) Beijing time.

The Chinese space station, when completed, is similar to the former Soviet Mir station (1986-2001). Its lifespan will be at least ten years.
China has decided to build its own space station after the United States refused to participate in the international space station ISS.
The latter – which unites the United States, Russia, Canada, Europe and Japan – is set to retire in 2024, although NASA has indicated a possible extension beyond 2028.
