2 anti-racism protesters killed in Kenosha

Kyle Rittenhouse is not guilty of charges related to killing two people and injuring one-third during an anti-racist protest in Kenosha, Wisconsin last year. It was set up by a panel of judges called to determine the responsibility of the 18-year-old in the shooting deaths of Joseph Rosenbaum, 36, Anthony Hooper, 26, and Gaius Crossgroots, 27, in the Returnhouse shooting. The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a police station in Kenosha after a white police officer shot and killed Jacob Blake in the back during a protest rally in August 2020.

Biden, who returned to the White House after a medical examination, said when asked about the outcome of the trial, Kyle did not follow Rittenhouse’s trial but valued the arbitral award and the judicial system. “It simply came to our notice then. “I did not see the investigation.” When asked about his past statements that he equated Rittenhouse with a white supremacist, Biden limited himself to expressing his support for the arbitral award. “The jury system works, and we have to respect that.”

In a statement issued by the White House this afternoon, Biden said the verdict would be “angry and anxious to many Americans, including myself”, but that “everyone should accept the jury’s verdict.” Biden “promised to unite Americans,” he said, “because I believe that uniting us is greater than dividing us.” “I know we will not heal the wounds of our nation overnight, but I am determined to do all I can to ensure that every American is treated equally, justly and with dignity.”
