David Stern, The “Soft” NBA, And The Long Shadow Of The Malice At The Palace

David Stern's comments that the Malice at the Palace was the low point of his tenure at commissioner should remind us all just why referees are so quick to call double technical and flagrant fouls. They never want to see a repeat of those events.


Let’s Celebrate Tim Duncan’s Scoring Record

There will never be another player like Tim Duncan. I mean, as fans of the bank shot know, it just doesn’t get much better than this guy. Of course, Duncan is about more than bank shots, and that was never more true last night, as he officially passed David Robinson‘s Spurs’ scoring record of 20,790 points, and became the all-time leading scorer in Spurs’ history. Duncan now sits at 20,797 on his career, and as for how many of those points come from bank shots, I’m not exactly sure. But what I do know is that this guy is one of the greats to play the game.
