Blake Griffin is no stranger to comedy performances, appearing at the Upright Citizens Brigade before, but last night his equally comically talented Los Angeles Clippers teammate, DeAndre Jordan, also joined him on stage. Griffin and Jordan performed as part of Jensen Karp’s and Sean O’Connor’s The Live Read show, where Karp and O’Connor get their friends to read the script of one of their favorite movies. The script for last night’s Live Read Show was “Space Jam”, which made it the perfect show for two NBA players to take part in. Along with Karp and O’Connor, Griffin and Jordan were joined by actors and comedians like Ben Schwartz, Nick Kroll, Danielle Fishel, Seth Green, and Paul Scheer to read the script in front of a crowd.
For the reading, Griffin assumed the role of Michael Jordan and Jordan played Charles Barkley. Griffin’s former “employer”, Funny or Die, was on hand to record the live read for a future video but thanks to Karp, we have some video of the night:
With rumors swirling that LeBron James may act in a sequel to “Space Jam”, could Griffin actually get the role now that he has some practice with the original?
