Tonight, the 22-21 Toronto Raptors will take on the 20-22 Brooklyn Nets inside the Barclays Center, in a battle of two turnaround teams.

Ever since the Rudy Gay trade went down, the Raptors have been a completely different team, defeating some of the top teams in the league and currently hold possession of the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference. Many thought this team gave away Gay to begin tanking, but they are doing just the opposite. Terrence Ross, Kyle Lowry, and DeMar DeRozan have taken huge leaps in their games, have been exciting to watch, and have a bright future ahead. Ross even had a 51-point game against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Although the Nets still currently stand 7th in the Eastern Conference, the team has a record of 10-1 in the year of 2014. Brooklyn is just playing better overall basketball, their team chemistry looks greatly improved, and their role players are stepping up.

Prediction: Because the Nets will be at home for this game and having gained lots of momentum after their 85-79 win over the Boston Celtics Sunday night, I got Brooklyn winning this contest. I wouldn’t be surprised at all though if Ross goes off and hits a game-winner.
