1 WEEK! 7 DAYS! That’s all that stands between us and finally getting to watch some FANtastic regular season NBA action. So close guys, so close. Like always, with a new day comes new words written about basketball for us to read. And like always, we’re here to share some of the best. So check out today’s suggested basketball reading from across the web.
Playing basketball is a hobby that surely many of you reading this have. And while playing games is fun, sometimes it’s nice to just shoot around by yourself. Well David Vertsberger, over at Hickory High got a chance to do just that. Read his excellent story of getting to shoot some hoops in an unexpected place.
One of the growing trends in the NBA over the last few years is the stretch-four. Having a power forward that can step out (not necessarily all the way to three-point range, but at least to mid-range) and knock down jumpers creates a lot of spacing for the offense and problems for the defense. The Los Angeles Lakers may have found their stretch-four in Ryan Kelly. Over at SB Nation’s Silver Screen and Roll, Drew Garrison took an in-depth look at how the Lakers have used R. Kelly so far in the preseason.
