TV3 is already running a “More Feminine and Younger” marathon in the 32nd edition of the Solidarity Initiative. It is the first dedicated to sexual and reproductive health, a group of diseases and problems that affect the population the most, with a particular impact on women and young people, who will have a special role throughout the entire program on Sunday.

One of the highlights of this edition is the Youth Zone of the Barcelona Forum, with musical performances that will fill the entire Solidarity Day of the main groups of Catalan urban music such as Tyets, Figa Flawas, Mushka or Julita. .

“This year’s slogan is ‘The Marathon That Gives Light’ and it has a very clear goal: to make sexual and reproductive health problems visible and normal, very visible,” notes the president of the Catalan audiovisual media organization, 3Cat, Rosa Roma. They are often silenced and confined to people’s intimate sphere due to the ignorance, taboos and stigma that still surround them.”

“Sunday’s marathon will be an acknowledgment to all women who have seen how the effects of sexual and reproductive health are silenced. “And a wake-up call to young people, who are also vulnerable to some of these diseases, especially in the area of ​​sexually transmitted diseases,” emphasizes Roma.

As usual, La Marató will start on El Supplement de Catalunya Ràdio with Roger Escapa. It will be seven hours of radio focusing on sexual and reproductive health, and highlighting the female side of these diseases.

The first update of the scoreboard will take place at 10.00, in the program managed by Escapa. From 10.00 am to 9.00 pm, there will be a broadcast on TV3 and Twitch, with exclusive and unpublished content, witnesses and specialists who will talk about the sexual and reproductive health issues that most affect young people.
