The great satisfaction of the youth sector in Piacenza, and not only for the excellent result reported by twelve-year-old Mattia Agosti (a son of art like his father Andrea coach in the red and white youth teams) who won last weekend, with the representative of Emilia Romagna, the Regional Championship. A real tournament for regional representatives who saw, on Mas Lombardy, 40 teams in total divided into 5 categories, 3 in baseball and 2 in softball, coming from 10 different regions. As it often happens, our region has reported more than delightful results. Specifically, Emilia-Romagna finished the U12 Championship on full points with victories over Marche, Piedmont and Friuli VG in the preliminary round, over Veneto in the semi-finals and again over Friuli (7-6) in the final. Agosti was used in third base and wing roles. But this is not all, on the contrary. Thanks to this success, the 12-year-old regional representative will be in Holland, from July 16-23, in the European and African qualifiers for the Little League World Series scheduled for August in Pennsylvania (USA). For Mattia Agusti this summer, a dream that represents our continent at the world’s most prestigious youth event can come true. Meanwhile, he’s enjoying the tricolor title while he waits to try the most important bet in tulip land.
